New Hampshire Group Volunteers at Manchester Police Athletic League, Demonstrating Commitment to Community

Manchester, NH – April 6, 2024 – New Hampshire Group (NHG), recognized for its charitable gaming facilities across the state, reaffirmed its dedication to local service by volunteering at the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL), which connects cops and kids through free athletic and educational efforts to help area youth become productive members of the community.

The day began with a tour of the MPAL facility, providing NHG team members with insights into the organization’s mission. Then, the volunteers began a massive spring-cleaning effort of MPAL’s gymnasium, kitchen and facilities, as well as buffing the gym floor so it looks brand new.

“The impact of having these volunteers provide this hands-on support is tremendous,” said MPAL Executive Director John Rainville. “With a limited staff, we often lack the resources for such extensive cleaning. These volunteers have made an immense difference in the appearance of our facilities, significantly enhancing the environment for our kids and staff. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to New Hampshire Group for their support.”

Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais visited MPAL to meet with NHG volunteers, applauding their efforts and values. “Having members of our business community show up in force to support a nonprofit speaks volumes about their commitment to the community and sets a commendable example of corporate citizenship. It is heartening to witness a local business demonstrate such dedication to our charitable organizations.”

Beyond their hands-on involvement, New Hampshire Group continued their legacy of philanthropy by making substantial contributions to area nonprofits in 2023. Their properties, including Filotimo Casino in Dover, Filotimo Casino in Manchester, Wonder Casino in Keene, and Lebanon Poker Room & Casino, collectively raised over $11.8 million since January, including a record-breaking million dollars this past March. Last year, $9 million was given to New Hampshire-based nonprofits through charitable gaming.
